PRESS RELEASE:
Its taken a while to sort out, but I'm happy to report that we now have
BioRUST T-shirts for sale!!! Designed by our prolific member 'Xiaobaosg', these
T-shirts not only look good, but they are comfortable too, being printed in high
quality color on 'Fruit of the Loom' shirts. 50% of each t-shirt sale profit
will go to the artist, and 50% to BioRust for future competition prizes, etc.
Its a win-win formula! |

EDITOR'S LETTER
|
Dear Readers,
Hello and welcome to the third BioRUST newsletter! I am happy
to report that we are far exceeding expectations with our progress against the
aims for 2006. Although I have yet to find the time to get started
on scripting improvements, we now have a staggering 147 tuts... only 3 shy
of our target for the YEAR! I should have been more ambitious! :D Visitor numbers are currently dwelling
around the 12k/day mark and continuing to rise steadily - helped, no
doubt, by
our appearance in the Photoshop Creative magazine, which has been distributed far and wide.
Alas, our success seems to have also exposed a certain weakness of ours too.
Up this this point, you see, we have made use of banner advertisements from
run-of-network banner companies. They advertise everything under the sun,
offer lower rates, and incomplete fill. Not the ideal solution, but it
does pay the bills. We could, however, do much better through proper
dedicated advertisements - Money which we could then funnel back into nice big
competition prizes, better servers, and less annoyance for our users. To be
honest, I really need a professional and capable assistant to organize this
aspect of public relations for me, and pass interested parties onwards for
further processing. Payment is 10% of all advert procurement. Further
details are in
this thread.
Well, that's my speech over for this issue. Hopefully we will have a big
announcement regarding a fancy & fantastic new feature in the next issue... but only time will
tell! Have a good springtime!
Man1c M0g, Chief Editor.

USERNAME: Xiaobaosg
SKILLTYPE: Vector Comic
# IMAGES: 10

Uniquely combining Japanese and American comic styles, Xiaobaosg is an artist of
the highest calibre... and complements his professionalism perfectly with a
quick work flow and a friendly manner. He calls himself a 'newbie
artist',
which is more than a little shocking because it begs the interesting question...
If he is a newbie... what does it make the rest of us mere mortals? :D

PHOTOSHOP HOT TIP
|
|
If you are using Pen tool and you have created multiple paths in your document, they are totally separate and move independently of one another. But if you want to move them as one unit, switch to the Path selection tool, go up to the options bar and click on
'Combine' button. Now all the combined Paths will move as one unit.
